First black woman elected to SC House dies at 75 (Live 5 News Charleston)

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - Juanita Goggins, the first black woman elected to the South Carolina Legislature, has died. She was 75. Rep. John King of Christopher King Funeral Home in Chester said Monday that Goggins died Feb. 20 at her home in Columbia.
